Hi I am Fe, I am a female terrier mix and I’m 2 years old and weigh 30 lbs. I’ve been hanging out with all the dogs here at Thrive and I’ve gotten comfortable playing in a group. I like human children and I especially love puppies because I was a mom myself when I was younger.
I am potty trained, crate trained and I don’t mind being left alone. My manners are improving with each passing day and I will make someone very happy as a hiking partner and snuggle bug. Car rides still scare me a little bit, but I’m learning new things on the daily so by the time we meet that may no longer be an issue.
Meet Rex, he’s a little shy and prefers a quiet life. He can be overwhelmed at first with new places and things, but is very sweet and smart boy who walks nicely and LOVES his crate.
He grew up with 2 kids and little dogs, so these are things he’s comfortable with. He’d love to be a forever dog and will make someone very happy.
Good with dogs and cats and people, maybe too young to know his strength with little kids, but can learn. SUPER cuddly, can be leash reactive, so required consistent use of training in place, but he’s ultimately friendly and just gets frustrated on leash when he can’t do what he wants. Great in the car, crate, etc.
Hi there! I am Norah, a perfect blend of Boxer-ish something-or-other. I was born here and have been a favorite among the staff and volunteers so I am kind of a Queen Bee. I am currently learning to be more polite on my leash. I’m not a candidate for a home with cats because my prey drive is strong, but I love kids and I’m dog social.
I will be a medium sized dog when fully grown and I am loved by everyone who meets me.
Cute and spunky with all the terrier attitude. Loves to run and play, may need a little direction to guide him through his adolescent years.
Reuben is a little shy and sensitive, but not fearful. He’ll do best in a home with dogs and a patient, steady person to coax him into becoming the awesome dog he’s meant to be.
Batman is a gorgeous Shepherd mix puppy, who already knows his basics obedience commands, walks well in his halti leash, is crate trained (including sleeping in his crate quietly overnight), and he loves other dogs. This clever, confident, affectionate guy is good in the car and loves to play tug or fetch, and true to his suspected working type breed mix, Batman will need a moderately active lifestyle where training and exercise fulfillment continue. Batman will thrive with another dog companion or two at home to play with and continue to learn from - kids ages 10 and up would be best until he grows into those big old feet. Scoop this stunning guy up before you miss too much more of his incredibly cute puppy stage.
Elm is one of the “Tree Puppies” who were born in a field in Fresno and cared for by a sweet and loving mama dog who has already found a home, although she’ll be staying to nurse these little ones for awhile longer. They’re healthy, happy and very lucky to have survived life in the wild before coming to us. We love the entire litter and can attest to their friendly temperament. We think they will be medium to large sized dogs.

Hi! My name is Caya and I love dogs, cats and cuddling. I’m currently being fostered in Fresno and my foster family says I’m, “terrific!”
Nala was saved and brought to us by the gals at Chula Vista shelter. She was a staff favorite, and in an effort to make sure she had a safe place to land before the July 4th influx, they drove her to us for a meet and greet. We, of course, were smitten.
Nala’s eyes were removed, but she sees with her heart. She’s young, friendly and adaptable. She doesn’t seem to have known any trauma. She’s a very trusting girl. She is healthy and housebroken. We believe she will do best in a single story home where she can memorize the floorplan and be someone’s only dog and their pride and joy.
Nala is part of our forever foster program. You provide the home and the love and Thrive will take care of any necessary medical expenses.
Meet Magnolia. This sweet scruffy girl has been a favorite at Thrive since her arrival. Mags has a heart murmur that will shorten her lifespan, so she is a Forever Foster- we will pay all of her medical expenses, and you provide her with a safe and loving home.
Mags is 2 years old, weighs 42 lbs and loves to play in her yard. She likes female dogs better than males and hasn’t ever met a cat, but who knows? She can’t go on hikes with you, but there are things she can do better than any other dog… like chill out and snuggle. If you’d like to learn more about her medical condition, please email pamela@thriveanimalrescue.com
Hi! I’m Stephen. I am enjoying my foster family and would love to be in a home with another dog. I sleep in my crate through the night and love my walks and hanging out with dogs and humans. I weigh 20 lbs. and I don’t shed.
I’m 8 years old, so I’m available as a Forever Foster. You provide the home, and Thrive will pay for all necessary medical expenses.
Would love to be your loving companion!
One of the “Pasta Puppies.” These guys were raised here at Thrive by their young gorgeous and unwed mother. She looked like a Dachshund mix and these kids kind of look like little Bassets without the long ears. Their temperament is the best. Set up a meeting ASAP!
Meet Harley. He is a male chihuahua mix about 10 years young and 8 lbs. He will mesmerize you with his adorable chihuahua apple-head and dazzle you with his long min-pin like legs.
If you are interested in a loving, sweet, loyal, dog, that gets along with all people then Harley is your pick.
Lua is a sweet girl who was a favorite among the workers and volunteers at the shelter where she landed up before coming to Thrive. She was so popular, that they advocated on her behalf, reached out to us with a plea to save her and then sent us donation pledges to cover any expenses. We’re grateful to them for recognizing how truly special she is.
Lua likes kids, big dogs and all people. Best in a home without cats. Great on a leash and totally healthy.

This little girl is practically perfect. A dog friendly, bouncy and cuddly bundle of joy. Straightforward, easy and ready to be someone’s forever dog.

Hi! I'm Timmy. I'm a spunky guy who loves people, dogs, cats and swimming. I'm easy going and would love a family of my very own.
I’m living with my foster in Fresno and happy we have a pool because it’s hot!
I’m Ken, and I think I’m great. You probably will too, but I need a little work to become the man I’m supposed to be. With some patience and training I have all the potential to be a wonderful forever dog.
Hi I'm Otto, I am a pug that is estimated to be around 3 years old. I am 19 pounds of cuddles and love. I can be a little shy at first, but I open up quickly. I walk well on leash and I am potty trained. I can get a little tense around other dogs, but with a little more exposure I think I will lighten up. Currently I am working on getting more comfortable in my crate, and my foster family says I'm doing great! The best home for me would be someone who has the time to hang out and care for me. I quickly get attached to my owners and have some separation anxiety, but with some work I think I can start getting more comfortable alone. Overall I am a happy go lucky guy looking for a forever home. If I sound right for you, let's schedule a time to meet!

Meet Barney (formerly Guapo). He is good with people, other dogs, and cats! Barney is very sweet, walks well on a leash and he’s crate and potty trained. This little man needs a patient adopter who will give him time to adjust, and then he will be a fantastic Forever Dog!

Hi, I am Penelope and I aim to please! My foster mom says I am a pleasure to have in her home, I just go with the flow, she’s teaching me to walk on that long rope attached to me. I just go along with whatever she wants because I am enjoying all the love. I like other dogs and people so let’s meet if I’m what you’re looking for!
This sweet girl has made such a transformation, from the hairless and homeless stray who came to us. We are CRAZY about her. She is a Lab mix with a total Lab personality. A sweet family dog with so much love to give. Her foster family says she’s great at home, crate trained, potty trained, good on a leash. Loves their teenage boys and all the dogs she meets on her outings. Perfect angel.
