High Fashion- It's Going To The Dogs

“As a fashion designer, I was always aware that I was not an artist, because I was creating something that was made to be sold, marketed, used, and ultimately discarded.”  ~Tom Ford

And so it is… Many of us have experienced the thrill of that fabulous piece that is sure to make us feel complete, only to learn that the love we experience in fashion is fleeting. Unlike the love we feel for our dogs, our feelings for handbags and shoes is neither reciprocal or unconditional. Once the thrill is gone, the relationship is over.

But all is not lost! In the theme of, “One man’s treasure…” you can put your previously adored items to good use by donating them to help the dogs. Thrive Animal Rescue is teaming up with our friends in the equestrian world to put those items to good use. At Blenheim’s Spring Classic III, April 11th and 12th, we will be holding our first consignment sale next to our dog adoption booth!

In the days to come we will be collecting items and tagging them in preparation for their rehoming...

Remember, giving back is always in style…

If you have items you would like to donate, please email Susie Saladino: susie@thriveanimalrescue.com We will make arrangements for drop off or pick up. We will provide a receipt for your tax-deductible donation, which makes saying goodbye a little easier...
