What do you think of when you hear the word summertime? Just the mention of the word brings to mind green grass, bare feet, snow cones, outdoor grilling and lemonade. It’s a time when families spend long, lazy afternoons together without fretting about Monday’s tasks; a time for enjoying what life has given you… a time for sowing and reaping and yes, shopping. 

And so it is, Thrive Animal Rescue in collaboration with Intimate Living Interiors will hold our first annual summer event on July 12th, from 12:00 to 6:00 and everyone is invited, including your dog! With adoptable dogs and a host of new vendors in addition to the artisans and creative souls who sold their wares at our Holiday Farmers’ Market, we promise there will be something wonderful for everyone in the family. That’s not all! Ten percent of the sales go to Thrive Animal Rescue. You can shop and feel good about it. 

Premier SoCal equestrian photographer Holly Casner will be on site doing dog portraits and at 3:00 sharp we will take a group photo with all of the Thrive dogs we’ve adopted out over the last 15 months! Imagine the mayhem! 

What could be better than spending a day with your family, on a farm, eating wonderful food and supporting local businesses and merchants? We'll tell you what; going home with a new dog! We will be holding an adoption event featuring recently rescued Thrive dogs. The shelters are overwhelmed this time of year due to relinquishments and a flood of strays resulting from runaways from the 4th of July excitement. Please bring anyone you know who is looking for a dog, and if we don't have what they want, we can go find a sweet soul looking for someone to love. Every home is better with a dog in it.
