Nonprofits Joining Forces To Feed The Fight
A woman in La Jolla has found a way to solve two of the problems brought by the Coronavirus Pandemic at the same time.
Kathryn Munoz created Feed the Fight SD. The non-profit takes donations and uses the money to buy food at local restaurants. That helps them stay in business and keep employees on staff.
Then Munoz takes the food and delivers it to local hospitals, helping feed the doctors, nurses, and medics who are risking their lives on the front lines of the fight against the virus.
Today two of Thrive’s team members, Nicole Velazquez and Michelle Wiseman joined the Feed The Fight team using the van donated by Las Patronas, the non profit for whom they both worked before coming on board at Thrive.
Today’s meal was paid for by Feed The Fight, made by Teriyaki Grill in Chula Vista and delivered in the van donated by Las Patronas! Non profits working together is something to behold and we were so grateful to be a part of it!
